Although acceptance of a meeting notice by the Secretary of State does not imply compliance with the Open Governmental Proceedings Act, these tips may help:
Meeting Notice Filing Tips
- A meeting notice must be filed and posted to the online meeting notice database for 5 business days to be compliant with the Act.
- To calculate a compliant date, count the day the notice is submitted as day 1, if submitted during regular office hours.
- The day of the meeting, weekends and holidays do not count.
