Charleston, W. Va. – Two products from the West Virginia Secretary of State's Business and Licensing Division are on the shortlist for recognition by StateScoop magazine. The annual "StateScoop 50 Awards" recognizes the projects and people driving state government technology and cybersecurity.
Nominations from the WV Secretary of State's Office include the "One Stop Business Portal" and "Custom Alexa Skill." The two are finalists for "StateScoop's State IT Innovation of the Year," which recognizes an "innovative state IT approach to cross-agency or intra-agency technology that may have been unfathomable until recently." The public can now cast their votes to help select the winners.
"Success in state government often goes unnoticed," said Secretary of State Mac Warner. "Our Business & Licensing staff designed these products in concert with our customers, providing them with new 24/7 services that are accessible to them at their leisure. We hope to have West Virginians’ participation and support during the selection process."
