  Design a State Seal


    Secretary Tennant is proud to announce a new program which will focus on the imagination and state pride of the students in West Virginia.  The Design a State Seal program urges students to take what they have learned in WV history and develop their own state seal.  
    Students are asked to use their imagination, seals need not resemble the current state seal.  This is a great opportunity to merge art with West Virginia history. 

Materials necessary:
1.  A piece of paper or a paper plate to use as the drawing board
2.  Pencils, Pens, Crayons, Markers, Glitter, etc. may be used to decorate the seals

1.  Have your students complete their state seals.  Please have the students put their name and mailing address on the reverse side of the seal, so that they can recieve credit for their work .
2.  Mail your class/school's seals to
