How to Request an Absentee Ballot

  1. Obtain the West Virginia Absentee Ballot Application

    1. Download and print the application from our website
    2. Visit your county clerk’s office to pick up the application
    3. Call your county clerk to request the application be mailed to you.
    4. Watch your mail for the COVID-19 card mailed by your County Clerk the first week of April

  2. Fill out the application in your own handwriting

  3. Return the application by:

    1. Mail
    2. Email
    3. Fax
    4. In-person

  4. Your county clerk must receive your application by June 3.
